Facial Eczema levels are climbing again - you should be into your FE plan - options are spraying the pasture with a fungicide, or Zinc dosing - depending on the animal it may be better to hide it in their food (some animals just refrain from their water, especially if they can find an alternate source) - check on AsureQuality's website for the latest readings in your area.

Its that time of year again - Red Mites in the poultry houses - get onto it now, even if you think you don't have them (go out after dark with a torch to see if they're there).... but not forgetting wild birds can bring them in.

Facial eczema spore counts in Horowhenua are over 90,000 spores / gram - the danger level is 20,000 - so you really need to be taking action with zinc NOW. We have Muti Protein nuts available ($27.50 per 25kg) and we've made up some kibbled calf/stock mix with zinc ($21.50/25kg bag - please ring to order, as we make up to order)

Its time to think about Facial Eczema preventatives again - some areas are already getting high readings of FE - we have Multi Nut Protein pellets with zinc available - but its best to start your cattle or sheep on the non-zinc version until they are used to eating them

It looks like the facial eczema levels are falling to safe levels now - consider getting your sheep, cows, Alpaca etc used to eating the Multi Protein Nuts/Pellets through winter - so next summer its really easy to swap over to the zinc version.  During the cold wet months the animals really enjoy a high protein feed, so feeding them a couple of times a week with it, helps quieten them down, makes them look forward to seeing you.  That makes handling them much easier, no more chasing them round the paddock, just rattle the bucket & watch out for the stampede!

Hi Ian

Just letting you know that, after feeding our Appleyard breeding group of 5 ducks and two drakes,  for three weeks, with your Heritage Breeder pellets, prior to collecting eggs for the incubator, we got 23 ducklings hatched out of 24 eggs.   We had 100% fertility and a major increase in hatchability of the eggs from these ducks, through feeding them with your product.
